Visit With My Parents

We have been very busy the last few weeks, and that’s why I haven’t posted too many blog entries lately! We had three weeks of teams from all over Central America and I will post some pictures of them soon. Recently, we were thrilled to host my parents in El Salvador for a week. We have been blessed with visits from my mother-in-law, and now my parents since we’ve moved. We had a great time with my parents and our kids got a chance to reconnect with their grandparents. But of course we were sad to see them go! Here are some pictures from their visit.

Their church, Gateway Community of Faith, in Maryland donated some funds to feed the homeless in San Salvador. Here my mom helps one of the DTS teams pack the meals to be passed out. Thanks Gateway!

We also visited the beach for two days. It was very hot so we all spent a lot of time in the pool!

While we were visiting the ruins, there were some "lawnmowers" there...sheep were grazing all over the ruins to cut the grass. The kids were fascinated by this little newborn goat.

Gatway also sent some donations for the YWAM base. We will use those to distribute to people in need...thanks for your generosity Gateway!
