Today we celebrate the life of our fearless leader. On this day 33 years ago, Jonathan James Snyder came into the world. That baby boy grew into a wonderful man and today I am proud to call him my husband and the father of my children.

He is our fearless leader in many ways because in the face of uncertainty and doubt, he does not waver. He stays strong and constantly focuses on what is going RIGHT! This is a good thing and helps to keep us on track. He’s not afraid to try new things, and go out on a limb, and take a chance to help someone else.

His heart is soft towards the fatherless, and the hurting, and those whom the rest of the world seems to have forgotten about. He’s not afraid to touch and hug and love someone who is dirty, or addicted, or rejected. He loves his calling, and he loves this country, and he loves to obey what God has asked him to do.

I admire many things about this man…his attitude, his courage, and his unrelenting faithfulness right in the middle of challenges and obstacles and circumstances that are really tough. I am grateful to have this man in my life. So to Jon, our fearless leader, we love you and we hope you have a very Happy Birthday!
