We had a joyful Christmas with all of our clients this year! So many of those we serve don’t have any family to celebrate the holidays with so it means so much to them to be part of our celebrations at MTES!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were able to throw two parties for the survivors that we serve! These girls and women have been through so much hurt and pain in their young lives, so we love to give them a chance to smile! This year we threw a party and gave gifts to 7 child trafficking survivors in addition to having a Christmas party for all the women in Free The Girls, and their children! There was such a beautiful moment at this party as many of the women came together to help provide a food basket for another woman who couldn’t attend because she is fighting cancer. We loved celebrating with these lovely ladies!

 

We also were able to drop off fireworks , gifts, and a Christmas meal for the boys at the CISNA boys’ center. There were so happy to have a chance to celebrate too!

At New Dawn, the kids were surrounded by our staff as well as volunteers from our community who consistently love and care for them. Outside they hear so many negative messages, and they live with so much sadness. For an afternoon they were able to have a delicious meal, and they received a gift with their very own name written on it. We love these kids and we were so glad we could celebrate with them this year!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our annual Christmas party at the Lighthouse Project was a huge success! When we began this ministry there were just a few guys coming. Now many of our original clients are working as volunteers. This year they were the ones serving the meal and passing out gifts. It was truly powerful to see the way that God is working, and their lives are changing day by day, week by week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the first time, we also held a Christmas worship service. It was open to clients from all of our programs and hearing them lift their voices together to praise God was such a moving experience. We are so grateful for the miracle of Christmas, and the miracle of what God is doing on the streets of San Salvador!

Este año tuvimos una Navidad llena de alegrías con todos nuestros clientes. Muchas de las personas a las que servimos no tienen una familia con la cual celebrar las festividades, asi que para ellos significa mucho más ser parte de nuestras celebraciones en MTES.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer dos fiestas para las mujeres sobrevivientes de la Trata que servimos. Estas chicas y mujeres han pasado por tanto dolor a su corta edad que nos encanta poder hacer algo por ellas que las haga sonreír. Este año hicimos una fiesta para todas las mujeres y les dimos regalos a siete niños de sobrevivientes de la Trata, y adicionalmente, tuvimos una fiesta para las mujeres de Free the Girls y sus hijos. Hubo un momento muy especial en la celebración, ya que varias mujeres se unieron para poder proveer de una canasta de víveres a una compañera que no pudo asistir porque está batallando contra el cáncer. ¡Nos encantó celebrar con estas mujeres!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Por otro lado, tambien pudimos llevar fuegos artificiales, regalos y una comida navideña para los chicos del centro para varones de CISNA. ¡Ellos también estaban felices de tener la oportunidad de celebrar!

En Un Nuevo Amanecer estuvieron rodeados de nuestro personal y de voluntarios locales, quienes consistentemente les proveen de amor y cuidado. Fuera de aquí, estos chicos escuchan mensajes negativos y viven sumergidos en tanta tristeza… Por una tarde, pudieron disfrutar un rico almuerzo y recibieron regalos que tenían el nombre de cada uno escrito en una tarjeta. ¡Amamos a estos chicos y nos sentimos contentos de poder celebrar junto a ellos este año!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

¡Nuestra fiesta anual en El Faro fue un gran éxito! Cuando iniciamos este ministerio apenas asistían algunos hombres. Ahora, muchos de nuestros clientes originales están trabajando como voluntarios. Este año fueron ellos quienes sirvieron el almuerzo y repartieron los regalos a los nuevos clientes. Fue realmente poderoso ver la forma en la que Dios está trabajando cambiando sus vidas día a día, semana a semana.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Por primera vez, también tuvimos un culto de adoración navideño. Recibimos clientes de todos nuestros programas y escucharlos levantar sus voces para alabar a Dios fue una experiencia conmovedora. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos por el milagro de la Navidad y los múltiples milagros que Dios está haciendo en las calles de San Salvador!
