The Snyders write on the Mission to El Salvador blog and regularly post updates about their life and ministry in El Salvador.
In 2007, Jon Snyder visited El Salvador for the first time and his heart never left. He was moved by all of the people struggling on the streets in the capital city of San Salvador. Over the next two years he returned several times to El Salvador, and the faces of those on the streets stayed with him.
In 2009, Jon began the process of founding Mission to El Salvador, Inc., along with his wife Danielle, in order to provide a way for individuals, businesses, organizations, and churches in the U.S. to connect with those most in need in El Salvador. Later that same year Jon, Danielle, and their two children moved to San Salvador to work full-time ministering to the urban poor in the city.
Since that time, the vision of Mission to El Salvador has expanded to include several ministries in El Salvador, a short-term mission and intern program, and the formation of strategic partnerships with local churches and NGOs.
